TM REVOLUTIONISES DIGITAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES WITH NEXT GEN E-PHARMACY SOLUTION
CYBERJAYA, 14 MARCH 2024 – TM via its Unifi Business segment, today unveiled its latest digital business offering called the e-Pharmacy Solution, a mobile application that enables e-prescriptions via teleconsultation for pharmacists and their walk-in patients.
Bundled with Unifi Business’ fixed broadband plans from 100Mbps up to 2Gbps, this offering in collaboration with Teleme Technologies, Malaysia’s leading telemedicine platform, includes access to over 500 licensed healthcare professionals for teleconsultation, e-prescriptions, customised Digital Signature, e-health articles and a repository for patients’ medical records.
Harnessing TM’s networks and its approximately 600 nationwide Unifi Business consultants, the offering aims to help pharmacists dispense essential medications and pharmaceutical services, especially among rural and underserved communities. Through e-prescriptions, these communities will be able to access prescribed medications seamlessly, enhancing adherence and improving health outcomes.
Launched by Minister of Communications YB Fahmi Fadzil, TM’s e-Pharmacy Solution aligns with the collaboration between the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) during the Persidangan PEDi MADANI, to accelerate the digitalisation of healthcare services, and bridge the urban-rural gap in equitable access to quality healthcare.
This offering is also eligible for the Government’s Geran Digital PMKS Madani (GDPM), ensuring pharmacists from the micro, small and medium enterprise segment (MSME) receive the support they need to embrace digitalisation and enable a more inclusive healthcare system for all Malaysians.

Key Features of Unifi Business’ e-Pharmacy Solution
- Streamlined Prescription Processing: Walk-in patients receive e-prescriptions from teleconsultations with licensed medical professionals, which allows pharmacists to dispense the necessary medicines to these patients.
- Improved Patient Experience: Patients benefit from flexible access to essential prescribed medications, leading to better adherence and health outcomes, which is especially important among underserved or rural communities.
- Enhanced Medication Management: The application offers robust medication management tools, allowing pharmacists to monitor their inventory and send reminders to patients for medication refills.
- Secure Patient Management: The application prioritises patient privacy and data security, leveraging secure cloud infrastructure.
- Eligibility for Geran Digital PMKS Madani (GDPM): Eligible pharmacies will be entitled to claim Grant rebates up to 50% discounts off Unifi Business’ commercial package price for 12 months.

TM Wholesale and radian arc collaborate to expand cloud gaming offerings to the ASEAN market
Collaboration signifies TM’s commitment to expand cloud gaming in the ASEAN region, leveraging Radian Arc’s Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Edge Point of Presence TM Wholesale, the domestic and international wholesale business arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today announced a partnership with cloud infrastructure provider Radian Arc to expand its cloud gaming offerings in Malaysia and other ASEAN countries. The collaboration will see both parties leveraging each other's strengths to provide users with high-quality content and cloud-gaming experiences. Through this partnership, both companies will collaborate to deploy a new point of presence (PoP) in Malaysia, utilising Radian Arc's proprietary GPU Edge technology. This PoP will enhance TM Wholesale's cloud-based gaming solutions as well as other real-time applications that use similar technology. The availability of this robust platform ensures that these central processing units (CPUs) can provide relevant applications at a lower cost to serve. Following the rollout of the cloud gaming platform, TM Wholesale and Radian Arc intend to make an array of cloud-based applications, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IOT) accessible to users in order to accelerate digital transformation and adoption, which is pivotal to Malaysia's digital aspirations. Radian Arc is also partnering with cloud gaming platform Blacknut to bring their games catalogue to the region, reinforcing TM Wholesale's vision of providing better cloud gaming solutions. Through this partnership, TM Wholesale will be able to offer over 500 family-friendly premium games to service providers, with lower latency and faster start times for their customers. TM Q2 NET PROFIT RISES 1.7%, DECLARES 12.5 SEN INTERIM DIVIDEND
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 August 2025 – Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM” or “The Group”) today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended 30 June 2025 (2Q 2025), reflecting resilience in a competitive market and continued progress on its strategic priorities. During the quarter, Profit After Tax and Non-Controlling Interests (PATAMI) rose 1.7% compared to corresponding quarter last year to RM403.0 million, while Earnings before Interest and Tax (EBIT) grew 4.5% to RM640.0 million. For the first half of 2025 (1H 2025), revenue stood at RM5.62 billion versus RM5.74 billion a year earlier, as a result of intensely competitive market. Meanwhile, the Group registered EBIT of RM1.19 billion, down 5.8% compared to corresponding period last year, mainly due to forex losses. Adjusting for these, underlying EBIT recorded growth, underscoring TM’s strong fundamentals, core operations and cost discipline in delivering profit despite revenue pressures. The Group continues to demonstrate its focus towards value creation and disciplined capital management, as reflected in the improvement of Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) to 12.81% from 12.34% a year ago. TM maintains a positive outlook for the year and is confident in meeting its 2025 guidance. The Board has declared an interim dividend of 12.5 sen per share, amounting to RM479.7 million for the financial year 2025, reaffirming its commitment to delivering sustainable returns to shareholders. 1H 2025 Segment Highlights Business to Consumer (B2C): Unifi registered steady revenue performance and an increase in fixed broadband subscribers driven by Unifi UniVerse convergence offerings, fuelled by content and mobile take up. Its diverse range of device bundles continued to attract strong demands from various segments. Meanwhile, as the preferred partner to more than 400,000 MSMEs nationwide, Unifi Business segment remained a key driver, with tailored digital solutions that promote digital inclusivity. Business to Business (B2B): TM One revenue was softer as several major projects and sizeable deals are expected to be completed in the second half of the year. Nevertheless, beyond connectivity services such as cloud and ICT recorded steady growth. Carrier to Carrier (C2C): TM Global remains well-positioned, with a strong pipeline of large-scale border-to-border bandwidth requirements expected to be delivered by year-end. On the domestic front, the segment is on track with its data centre expansions and the delivery of 5G mobile backhaul in support of the national 5G agenda. Investing for Future Growth TM continues to strengthen its long-term position through strategic investments in digital technologies, encompassing AI infrastructure and applications, data centres, edge facilities, expanded fibre coverage, 5G mobile backhaul and submarine cable systems. “Digital infrastructure and AI are no longer just a vision for TM. It’s becoming a reality, from the establishment of data centres, sovereign cloud and GPU-as-a-Service to various enterprise applications that continuously help businesses to unlock digital capabilities and growth,” said Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM. “Equally important is ensuring digital inclusivity for all communities and businesses, while nurturing the right talent to power Malaysia’s digital future. Through our inaugural Jangkau Digital programme, we are reimagining Kampung Mukut in Pulau Tioman as the nation’s first Smart Eco-Village. At the same time, the launch of Malaysia’s first Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering at our education arm, Multimedia University, is a clear testament to this commitment. Together, these initiatives reflect TM’s greater purpose of empowering lives and ensuring no one is left behind in the digital era.” Outlook “While the market environment remains challenging, our results demonstrated resilience and ability to execute our strategic priorities. TM shines the spotlight on an unsung hero this Hari Kebangsaan through interactive 360º wayang kulit performance
Most of us are familiar with the many great gentlemen heroes who fought for the nation’s Independence, such as Tunku Abdul Rahman and Dato' Onn Jaafar. This year, however, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is shining the spotlight on one of the women “Tokoh Kemerdekaan”, Tan Sri Hajah Zainon Binti Sulaiman, also known as Ibu Zain, who played a pivotal role in inspiring Malaysians to unite and stand up as one. Her inspiring yet lesser-known story was captured in a Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia film titled “Ibu, Kisah Seorang Tokoh Kemerdekaan”, to celebrate the spirit of Malaysia’s independence and as an example of strength through unity. Aptly and equally inspiring too is that the film is narrated by her own daughter, Fadzilah Amin (Tok Lah), one of the most respected lecturers and educators in the country. The film is part of TM‘s Mengukir Malaysia initiative to celebrate and preserve our local culture through innovative technologies that enhances and elevates its delivery and enables Malaysians of all ages to better appreciate the richness of Malaysia’s heritage. Aimed at reconnecting people with the nation’s history and preserving the country’s rich heritage, TM brought to life the art of Wayang Kulit (shadow play), one of the earliest forms of animation in Southeast Asia, to tell the story of Ibu Zain. The project was born from one premise: ‘What if we could shine a light on a forgotten Malaysia hero through an art form that is also fading?’ Shanti Jusnita Johari, Chief Marketing Officer, TM, said, “Through our Mengukir Malaysia initiative, we aspire to leverage technologies that not only changes the way we live, work and play, but also enhances our perspectives and ideas, drawing from our local culture and history to remind us about what’s made us a great nation. “This Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia, we wanted to remember and celebrate Malaysia’s many unsung heroes, such as Ibu Zain, who made our country great. We hope that through this short film, people will be encouraged to learn more about this historical icon as we commemorate her legacy via Wayang Kulit, one of the first forms of storytelling by our ancestors which we must also preserve.” In ensuring that the film stays true to the ancient art of Wayang Kulit, TM found the perfect partner in Tintoy Chuo and his Tok Dalang from Fusion Wayang Kulit, who are renowned for their unique take on the art of Wayang Kulit. Their efforts to bring Wayang Kulit into the digital 21st century has garnered international attention, putting Malaysian Wayang Kulit on the world map. For this collaboration, TM and Tintoy Chuo weaved in virtual reality technology, bringing the Wayang Kulit experience to school children from across the nation’s 13 States. Sharing Ibu Zain’s story in a way that harmonised both heritage and digitalisation was one of the messages TM aimed to highlight about Malaysia’s unique make up and to celebrate both its history and aspirations during this Hari Kebangsaan.
