Syaiful Hafiz, aged 43, a Malaysian, was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Alternate Director to Datuk Dr. Shahrazat Haji Ahmad on 6 August 2025. 

He holds a Diploma in Accounting from Kolej Agama Sultan Zainal Abidin and Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of East London, United Kingdom. Syaiful Hafiz has also completed a post-graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration Malaysia and had undergone the Executive Fellows Programme at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.

He began his career in 2003 in the private sector before joining the public service in 2007 as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer at the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department, where he served in the Infrastructure and Utilities Section until 2015. He subsequently joined the Ministry of Finance and has served as Principal Assistant Secretary in the Government Investment Companies Division since December 2015.

He is also a director on several private companies where MoF has interests.

Syaiful Hafiz is also an Alternate Member to Datuk Dr. Shahrazat on the Board Tender Committee.
