CYBERJAYA, 8 September 2026 – TM via its enterprise and government sector arm, TM One, unveiled the TM Cyber Defence Centre (TM CYDEC), a Cyber Fusion operating model that consolidates connectivity, cloud, and cybersecurity designed to help organisations detect cyber threats, reduce vulnerabilities and respond faster.

Located at TM’s Cyberjaya Campus, it brings together intelligence, talent and capabilities from government, enterprise and TM’s security operations, delivering an integrated view across networks, cloud platforms, applications and digital infrastructure.

As organisations increasingly deploy AI in their processes, customer services and operations, TM CYDEC addresses emerging risks related to data exposure, governance, model integrity and regulatory compliance.

Offering 24/7 monitoring and threat intelligence, TM CYDEC correlates relevant telemetry across digital systems, managed services and cybersecurity operations. This reduces blind spots and fragmentation when monitored separately, enabling faster, more precise decision-making.

Shanti Jusnita Johari, Executive Vice President of TM One, said, “The future of cybersecurity will not be determined by who sees the most alerts, but by who has the clearest understanding of their digital ecosystem.

“Today’s organisations operate across cloud platforms, connected networks, services and critical infrastructure. Protecting them requires these environments to be understood as one, not defended in isolation. TM CYDEC has been built around this reality, enabling organisations to make faster decisions, respond with greater precision and build resilience into the foundation of their digital operations.”

Based in Malaysia, TM CYDEC supports local governance, escalation and control for sensitive environments. Its multi security domain and Malaysian expertise provide greater assurance over regulatory compliance, supporting requirements under the Cyber Security Act 2024, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and Malaysia’s digital governance framework.

TM CYDEC has also received internationally recognised certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management, ISO 22301 for business continuity management, ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 37001 for anti-bribery management.

As Malaysia’s trusted digital services provider, TM One occupies a unique position across connectivity, cloud, data centres, cybersecurity and managed digital services. This enables TM CYDEC to correlate intelligence beyond traditional security operations, providing a broader operational perspective to protect the systems, services and infrastructure that power the nation’s digital economy.
