ONE-MONTH FREE TRIAL ON UNIFI TV’S LATEST STREAMING APP, DURIOO+
Unifi TV, the content and entertainment arm of Unifi, is offering a free one-month trial of its latest streaming app, Durioo+, during this Ramadan period. It will also be offering free access to all of its premium channels during the Raya festivities.
Durioo+ is a streaming app that produces and licenses entertaining children’s content with Islamic values, virtues and morals. With its mission to raise children with eemaan, akhlaq and ‘ilm (belief, ethics and knowledge) Durioo+ offers programmes like Mina Mila, Little Ammar, Abibi and many more – bringing safe, fun and educational content for children ages 1 to 12 years old. Offered ad-free, the free trial of this streaming app can be redeemed at unifi.com.my/raya until 30 April 2023.
Unifi TV, Malaysia’s largest single TV aggregator platform will also provide free Raya viewing of its premium channels from 21 to 27 April 2023. Filled with special programmes from channels such as Sacred Riana (DEGUP), CoCoMelon (Moonbug Kids), Running Man (ONE) and more, families will be spoilt for choice as they celebrate the festive Raya period.
“We are pleased to welcome our latest streaming app partner, Durioo+, whose programmes are especially meaningful during the month of Ramadan. Subscription to the Pack during this promo period includes the Unifi Plus Box and over 50 premium channels housing programmes from Korean variety shows, Hollywood movies, global news, kids animation and more.

Yayasan TM launches art exhibition featuring works of gifted artists in conjuction with World Autism Awareness Day at Muzium Telekom
In conjunction with World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) this year, Yayasan TM (YTM), the foundation arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) in collaboration with Nak Seni and We&I presented the second edition of Seni Ekspresi Autisma (SESAMA) exhibition at Muzium Telekom taking place from 2nd until 30th of April 2022, showcasing the creative talents in visual arts as well as performing arts of gifted autistic artists. This exhibition is held to help nurture a more autism-friendly world through the arts; demonstrating a genuine expression of love, compassion and empathy for children and individuals on the spectrum, as they face their everyday challenges. SESAMA was officially launched on 2nd of April, last Saturday by the Honourable Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi, President of OKU Sentral together with Izlyn Ramli, Director of YTM. Speaking at the launch event, Senator Datuk Ras Adiba said, “These children and individuals on the spectrum need our love and support. We need to have greater understanding and compassion towards them or else, we would have done them a great injustice. It isn't easy to look after persons with disabilities, but it's a beautiful and challenging journey, hence the reason we are here today, showcasing their incredible talents via an art exhibition, to empower them.” Meanwhile, YTM’s Izlyn said, “No one should ever be left behind, especially in the times we live in, where we’re enabled by so many wonderful life-changing technologies. YTM is delighted to celebrate WAAD and these amazing artistic talents who have come together to showcase their creative artwork. “Through the exhibition, we hope that audiences will look beyond their preconditions and see them for who they really are – beautiful souls and artists in their own right, deserving equal opportunities, standing shoulder to shoulder with their peers.” The exhibition launch event included the unveiling of “Rhythm Interactive Special Enabler” (RISE); an instructional book on the practical use of percussion for therapeutic benefits. This book, authored by Dr. Tan Swee Chuan and Edwin Nathaniel, is dedicated towards developing the musical talent of gifted children, providing insights into teaching students with different types and varying levels of learning challenges. The book launch was supported by Musicians for Musicians (MFM). Apart from the exhibition, YTM is also introducing its “Ramadan Buffet at Muzium Telekom” by Nomad Market, offering many local and international varieties to delight any food lover. The Ramadan Buffet is set to begin daily from 11th of April 2022 every day and on weekends; complete with a Ramadan Nite Bazaar with stalls selling goodies from local artists and entrepreneurs! YTM and its partners invite all to come and experience the free-admission SESAMA exhibition, from 2nd – 30th April 2022 (12.00PM – 6.00PM, Tuesday to Sunday) showcasing the journey of five gifted artists. TM Committed For Success Of TVET Madani
Following the official launch of ‘Portal TVET Madani’ and the exchange of Memorandum of Collaboration with the Government today, TM has reaffirmed its commitment to the success of TVET Madani through its tailored vocational education modules along with RM3.5 million contribution for training facilities and scholarship. TM is presently in the final stage of discussions with several TVET institutions to form partnerships that will help transform these institutions into industry-ready technical development centres, towards enhancing the employability of their graduates. This will be achieved through the introduction of industry-relevant modules on fibre networks and digital skillsets, the certification of trainers aligning to industry standards, as well as examinations for student certification. The company plans to develop highly qualified and experienced instructors among its partner institutions to provide expert guidance, especially for B40 students, throughout their vocational journey, and to offer mentorship and support to help them succeed. TM also plans to equip its partner institutions with access to requisite facilities, relevant modern equipment and technology that will provide students with hands-on learning experience that prepares them for real-world fibre network and digital work. TM shall invest RM2.5 million to upgrade the facilities and equipment to selected TVET institutions and a further RM1 million in scholarships for students from the B40 group. As a start, this will facilitate employment opportunities for close to 400 graduates per year to work within its business eco-system. “TM is pleased to announce its commitment to the Government’s TVET Madani initiative through a comprehensive programme that will address the entire value chain. With our strong focus on skills development and industry-relevant training, TM is determined to transform lives and bridge the gap between education and employment for a digitally skilled future workforce,” said Datuk Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM. “Across TM’s eco-system, we have over 430 fibre contractor partners, 880 vendors and over 90 TM 5G Sphere technology partners that will provide graduates close to 400 skilled job openings in the near future. “Vocational education will continue to play a crucial role in nurturing a skilled workforce and driving Malaysia’s digital economic growth. By equipping young Malaysians with the practical knowledge and skills needed in our telco and technology sector, we aim to empower the next generation of skilled talents to pursue meaningful careers and contribute to the development of communities and the nation,” he concluded.
TM and Cybersecurity Malaysia join forces to strengthen national cyberspace resilience
Both companies will leverage each other’s expertise, technical capabilities and global best practices to create a safer and more robust cyber ecosystem. Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE, today sealed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with CyberSecurity Malaysia, the national cybersecurity specialist agency under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM), to empower and strengthen the level of cybersecurity in Malaysia. The MoC was signed in a virtual event by Dato' Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab FASc, Chief Executive Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), TM. The ceremony was witnessed by General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Retired) Chairman of the Board of Directors, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Bakke Salleh, Chairman of TM. The event was also graced by the presence of YB Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia. Commenting on key aspects of the memorandum, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Bakke Salleh noted: "We are honoured to collaborate with CyberSecurity Malaysia in this strategic initiative, which is aimed at elevating the nation's cybersecurity network and ecosystem and strengthening Malaysia's self-reliance in cyberspace. Being a strategic partner, it is our pleasure to lend our expertise not just for this initiative but in Malaysia's mission to enhance its cybersecurity capabilities. This collaboration will enable both parties to enhance the ability of the public and business sectors to fend off cyberattacks that can come from all corners of the world and make cybersecurity a key thrust towards a sustainable digital economy, digital government and digital society. The initiative between both parties includes the sharing of global best practices, leveraging each other's technical capabilities and is set to deliver optimal cybersecurity technology solutions to local enterprises and public sectors.
