unifi offers subsidised mobile internet plans through Jaringan Prihatin Programme
Introduces unifi Mobile 39 postpaid plan, now priced at only RM24 (exclusive of SST) per month with RM15 monthly subsidy from the Government
In support of the Jaringan Prihatin programme announced by the Government through the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), unifi is offering unifi Mobile 39 postpaid plan and unifi #BEBAS prepaid plan to Malaysians who are eligible for Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat ("BPR").
Understanding the need for fast and efficient data, especially when many need to stay connected constantly in the current digital age, unifi is offering these mobile plans designed to give more value in the form of FREE mobile data to its customers for 12 months.
The postpaid plan; unifi Mobile 39, is now priced at only RM24 (exclusive of SST) per month with a RM15 monthly subsidy from the Government. The plan also comes with a whopping additional 30GB LTE data per month on top of the existing 5GB of data quota. Meanwhile, the unifi #BEBAS prepaid starter plan priced at RM10 comes with a 2GB data quota monthly and free 1GB LTE data daily.

TM leverages Maxis’ Infra to Drive Enhanced Mobile Connectivity Nationwide
To strengthen the nation’s digital ecosystem through industry collaboration, TM will access Maxis’ 4G Multi Operator Core Network (MOCN), as well as 4G and 2G Domestic Roaming Services to enhance mobile connectivity nationwide. MOCN is a radio access network (RAN) sharing mechanism that allows different core networks to share the same RAN. Through this, TM will extend its 4G coverage across the country by leveraging Maxis’ RAN infrastructure and improve Unifi Mobile's population coverage to above 95%. Maxis will provide approximately 6,800 sites for 4G MOCN and domestic roaming (DR) services, and 10,000 sites for 2G DR, greatly benefiting all subscribers in rural and urban areas nationwide. In a ceremony today at TM HQ in Cyberjaya, Maxis was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Goh Seow Eng, while Datuk Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer represented TM. TM Global Expands Network Infrastructure To Boost High-Speed Connectivity For Sabah And Sarawak
KUALA LUMPUR, 30 October 2023 – TM Global, the wholesale domestic and international business arm of TM, today announced the successful deployment of two additional International Internet Gateways (IGW) in Sabah and Sarawak. These IGWs will serve as crucial hubs for international Internet traffic exchange, reflecting the business’ commitment to continuously expand its local network infrastructure and offer high-speed Internet connectivity in East Malaysia. This network expansion will enable TM’s customers in East Malaysia and the neighbouring region to access global internet traffic via the most efficient route. By reducing the need to route traffic back to West Malaysia, these IGWs will significantly enhance connectivity speed and reliability for businesses, service providers and their end-customers. The two IGWs are located in Penampang (Sabah) and Stampin (Sarawak), strengthening TM Global’s existing Internet Exchange (IX) nodes across Sabah and Sarawak. The existing nodes in Sabah are in Kota Kinabalu, Inanam, Elopura, Menggatal and Putatan. Meanwhile, in Sarawak the nodes are in Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, Petra Jaya, Kuala Baram and Tabuan Jaya.
