Consumer and business customers can now manage all their unifi accounts with one app
unifi, the premier Convergence brand under Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), continues accelerating its digital innovation to deliver more #khabarbaik to its customers with the introduction of the country's first all-in-one new digital application: myunifi for both consumer and business segments.
The myunifi app provides access to the unifi full suite of products and support services, consolidating Home, Mobile postpaid, wireless broadband, broadband (previously known as Streamyx) and voice all into one app for both consumer and business customers. The app is now available for download which allows customers to subscribe to unifi services, manage their multiple unifi accounts, get assistance through the self-troubleshooting guideline and live chat with our customer service agents. In addition, customers will be notified on the latest updates, can buy hotspot passes, top up unifi mobile data, voice and sms quota and as well as pay their bills conveniently.

unifi has also enhanced its official website unifi.com.my to be as simple and seamless as possible. The website now offers a new browsing experience with an improved content structure to ease customer navigation; in accessing information, getting the latest updates on unifi's offerings and subscribe to the plans easily anytime, anywhere.
The enhanced website also includes a tips and tricks section to assist customers to find quick solutions; where they can watch self-help videos to get answers on unifi service queries and get instant help via the Live Chat function. This complete suite of applications is all developed in-house and aimed to cater to the needs of our customers by allowing them to directly self-manage their own accounts, thus getting the best out of their unifi services.
The myunifi app is now available for free and downloadable via Google PlayStore and Apple AppStore. TM revises 2018 key headline KPIS – embarks on enhanced performance improvement programme (PIP 2018) and introduces new broadband plans

The Group also announced the implementation of its Performance Improvement Programme 2018 (PIP 2018) – a continuation of its transformation journey, now in its 4th wave. TM also introduced new Broadband plans in its ongoing efforts to provide affordable broadband services to the nation, and in support of national aspirations. Datuk Bazlan Osman, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, TM commented on the announcement: “We are currently facing numerous challenges to the business namely intensifying competition; increasing business and operating costs; cautious enterprise spending as well as increasing regulatory pressures. Given these headwinds, we are revising our Headline KPIs for 2018 – to an expected revenue growth of negative 1.0% to flat in 2018, Group Operating Profit (Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT)) at approximately RM1.0 billion and Customer Satisfaction Measure of 72.” At the same time, TM is also revising its capex guidance for this year between 20-22% of revenue, from the high 20s % guided earlier this year. This entails reprioritising its network spending and sweating of existing assets. With regard to expanding its coverage, TM will do so in the most efficient manner. “In our ongoing transformation journey and to adapt to the changing landscape, TM has embarked on our 4th wave of Performance Improvement Programme 2018 (PIP 2018) which looks at 4 main pillars of Revenue Uplift, Sustained Profitability, Improved Cash Flow and Increased Productivity. We believe the strategic initiatives laid will assist TM in navigating through the current challenges and position us in a more resilient and competitive stead. The implementation of the PIP 2018 initiatives will provide us the runway to accelerate our current plans of convergence and digital,” he elaborated. TM announced the introduction of its new Broadband and mobile plans to boost its market leadership position and deliver on the national broadband aspiration with respect to price, speed and coverage. The new plans are as detailed below: 1. A new affordable entry level unifi package at 30Mbps for targeted B40 segment. Lower income groups can access high-speed broadband through this package at a price point below RM100 (more than 40% lower price from the existing 30Mbps package). Registration for pre-booking starts 15 July 2018 via unifi.com.my. 2. unifi ‘turbo’ plans offering more than double the current broadband speed. TM will gradually upgrade the speed for all its existing unifi customers at more than double the speed at no extra cost starting 15 August 2018, while new customers subscribing to existing unifi plans before 31 December 2018 will also be upgraded accordingly in 2019. 3. Special package upgrade for pre-unifi (formerly known as Streamyx) customers in unifi areas nationwide. Eligibility status check will be available via unifi.com.my from 15 July 2018. Note: All above are subject to technical availability in customers’ areas and terms & conditions. 4. A re-launch of its ‘unlimited’ unifi Mobile postpaid plan, which gives customers unlimited data, calls and messaging. This serves as a convergence offering exclusive to existing broadband customers and will be available at all unifi outlets and unifi.com.my from 15 July 2018. “As Malaysia’s Convergence Champion, we believe that internet access is a critical enabler to grow our digital and creative economy towards making life and business easier for all. Today, we serve nearly 2 million broadband homes, more than 8 million individuals and connect more than 10 million devices nationwide. We hear what Malaysians want – faster internet connection at affordable prices, which has been our aspiration since the launch of unifi in 2010. In October 2016, we announced our Broadband Improvement Plan (BIP), with speed increase upgrades of up to 100Mbps at the same price and completed the exercise in 2017 to benefit close to 1 million broadband customers nationwide, including 323,000 pre-unifi customers. Currently, we have started contacting our pre-unifi customers in unifi areas for an upgrade to unifi plans. For others not in unifi areas, we will continuously invest in our network to provide at least our 30Mbps entry level unifi package through the latest fixed and wireless broadband technologies. Collectively, these new Broadband plans will catapult Malaysia beyond a majority of our regional peers into a competitive set of countries globally with high-speed broadband,” he added. A good and reliable broadband access is highly critical in the "new normal". Five revolutionary #unificares initiatives unifi today announced five revolutionary initiatives to raise its game in CX. The 24-hour service restoration guarantee is among five new customer-focused initiatives under the #unificares campaign to enhance its broadband experience by reducing downtime to the absolute minimum. If unable to restore within 24 hours from complaint submission, customers will receive RM50 billing rebate compensation, redeemable via myunifi app within 30 days. It is the first of its kind in the local telecommunication industry and a commitment to its customer first strategy. This 24-hour service restoration guarantee starts 30 November 2021 and compensation eligibility is for customers subscribing to 100Mbps and above. Another innovation introduced with the campaign is unifi's Proactive Service Alert; an early detection and intervention system that ensures early notifications and speed of resolution to customers. Affected customers are alerted for restoration via SMS and the myunifi app push notification. Other customer-focused initiatives introduced in conjunction with the campaign are Easyfix self-serve tool, Service Tracker and unifi Elite experts. Easyfix is an easy visual based self-serve tool that enables customers to self-diagnose and do a quick troubleshoot on internet connection, telephony or unifi TV services. If an issue is unresolved, the Easyfix tool will automatically create a service ticket for immediate action by the unifi Care Crew or connect users to a unifi live chat agent for further assistance. Easyfix can be accessed anytime on the myunifi app under 'Support' or at easyfix.com.my. Service Tracker allows customers to view and track status of service and technical requests in real-time including details of the assigned TM Care Crew, via the myunifi app. Users can easily access the Service Tracker under 'My Activity' from their Account page. unifi Elite is a group of WiFi experts who are specially trained to provide customers with tailor-made consultation and solutions to further enhance their connectivity experience at home or business premises. unifi's track record in CX is well-established. Recently, it has been chosen as the sole Malaysian recipient for the "Brand of the Year'' award for the "Broadband / ISP" category, an award that is held under the auspices of the London-based World Branding Awards.
