New digital platform for Johor towards achieving the State’s aspiration of ‘Bangsa Johor Bestari, Ke Arah Kehidupan Lestari’

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through TM One, its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm together with Digital Johor Sdn Bhd (Digital Johor), a subsidiary of Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd, today officially launched ‘Jendela Aplikasi Servis dan Solusi’ (JASS) smart application towards realising the State Government’s initiatives of Digitalising Johor. The mobile application was launched in conjunction with the opening ceremony of Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019 held at Persada International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, Johor.

The opening ceremony of Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019 and the launch of JASS was graced by YAB Dato’ Haji Osman Haji Sapian, Chief Minister of Johor. Also present were YB Tuan Sheikh ‘Umar Bagharib Ali, Johor State Exco of Entrepreneurship, Cooperative and Creative Economy, Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam Osman, Chief Executive Officer, Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ), Datuk Abdul Wahab Abdullah, Managing Director, Digital Johor & Intelligent Johor and Azhar Omar, State Vice President, TM Johor. 

Commenting on the launch, Azhar Omar said, “We are proud to announce the official launch of JASS application hub, designed to support the digital lifestyle of the local communities particularly in Johor as well as tourists through a single platform. This collaboration with Digital Johor provides the opportunity for TM to demonstrate our capabilities, through TM One, as the strategic enabler of a secure hyperconnected ecosystem by delivering customised value-based digital solutions. This initiative is hoped to elevate Johor to become a developed state while enriching the lives of Johor citizens. As an enabler of Malaysia’s Digital Nation aspirations, TM is committed to play our strategic role in building the digital society in support of nation building through Digital Solutions and Connectivity.”

JASS is a platform that allows users, especially the citizens of Johor and visitors to explore the services provided in their vicinity, such as halal tourism, halal food and many more through a directory page. In addition, JASS also provides opportunities for local entrepreneurs to place their applications in the platform which will help them to penetrate local markets and beyond.

Meanwhile, Dato’ Haji Mohd Noorazam said, “JASS is expected to attract the halal industry players to participate in promoting their products and services on the digital platform in conjunction with the Johor International Islamic and Halal Festival 2019. This collaboration between Digital Johor and TM is one of the initiatives undertaken to fulfill the aspirations of the ‘Bangsa Johor Bestari, Ke Arah Kehidupan Lestari’ in line with the fourth thrust of the Johor Sustainable Development Plan 2019-2030 namely Commercial Zone and Digital Community Drivers.”

JASS smart application hub features eight (8) categories of applications and services which include Government Agencies Applications, Leisure and Lifestyle, Business and Information Directory, Direct Communication Channel, E-Wallet, Public Services, Education and Promotional Offers. 

Among other unique features of JASS, it serves as a platform to enable a digitalised lifestyle, as well as to accelerate the dissemination of information, new services and initiatives by the State Government for the citizens of Johor.

JASS is already available to be downloaded for FREE at Google Playstore while iOS users are expected to be able to download JASS in mid-April this year.

Employees of TM at Menara TM One, Damansara and Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu tested positive for Covid-19

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) confirms two (2) positive cases of Covid-19 amongst its employees. One of the affected employees is based at Menara TM One in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and the other is at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at Government quarantine and medical facilities. TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery. TM has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep our customers, staff and communities safe. At Menara TM One, all occupants were immediately evacuated and the office building closed for seven (7) days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH).  TM offices in Sabah, Kedah and other Red Zone areas had been closed much earlier as proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently. Following these two new positive cases, detailed contact tracing is being carried out by the MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those whom had close contact with the affected employees. Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action. In ensuring continued services to our customers, TM employees at the affected states and areas have reverted back to Work From Home (WFH) arrangement utilising digital channels and online productivity tools. Meanwhile, critical function employees (contact centre, field teams for service installation and restoration) shall continue working in compliance to Government and TM's added safety protocols and guidelines. TM would like to remind everyone at all times to keep safe social distance, hygiene and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as advised by the Government. TM has taken and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.

TM One securing trust in digital transactions via blockchain technology for Indonesian market

​​​PT VADS Indonesia to become the sole distributor of FNSV Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) products and solutions for the Indonesian market. The strategic partnership affirms TM One's commitment and readiness to take the digital transformation of enterprise and public sector forward for Malaysia and Indonesia.​ TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), together with PT VADS Indonesia, a wholly subsidiary company of TM ONE, recently inked a business agreement with FNS Value Co., Limited (FNSV) from Korea, to appoint PT VADS as the sole distributor of Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) solution for the Indonesian market.  The signing ceremony was conducted virtually and the documents were signed using TM One Digital Signature Solution (TMODS). It is a certified online signing platform, compliant to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Digital Signature Act 1997, making the document legally-binding and recognised by Malaysian court of law. Signing on behalf TM One was Ahmad Taufek Omar, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TM One and PT VADS was represented by Saravanan Belusami, Chief Executive Officer of PT VADS while FNSV was represented by JEON Seung Ju, its Chief Executive Officer.  Commenting on the partnership, Ahmad Taufek said, “This is a significant partnership for our subsidiary PT VADS as we further make our stamp in providing advanced managed security services to our customers in Indonesia. We believe that BSA solution is the answer to security issues of digital transactions.
