TM ONE, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today organised its inaugural LEAP Summit 2018 with the theme – “Transformation Through Intelligence. Are You Ready?”. In line with the recently launched National Policy on Industry 4.0, known as Industry4WRD by the Prime Minister, the summit was aimed at providing a platform for the Enterprise and Public Sector segments to share their dynamic thoughts and experiences in the industry. The delegates also gained insights on how innovations in digitisation, analytics, artificial intelligence and automation can create vast opportunities for businesses, industry makers and the economy as the country takes the leap into becoming a digital nation.

Speaking at the event, Datuk Bazlan Osman, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, TM said, “As the trusted partner in nation-building initiatives, TM, through TM ONE aspires to be the country’s key enabler in empowering Malaysia’s digital economy through its integrated business solutions. Throughout the one (1) day event, delegates of LEAP Summit 2018 were able to discover perspectives on global trends, business innovation strategy, Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence and smart cities through talks and panel discussion by local and international experts. Most interestingly, the summit featured Vito Di Bari, the Futurist and the ‘New European Guru of Innovation’, who delivered the keynote address on “Navigate to Accelerate Your Business Transformation in the Digital Age”. Other industry experts include Ajay Sunder, ICT Vice President, Frost & Sullivan, Riad Asmat, Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia Berhad, Azlina Azman, Senior Deputy Director at the Research, Planning and Policy Division, Public Service Department (JPA) and Ir Ts. Azizi. A. Hadi, Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, TM ONE. Also present to grace the afternoon special session focusing on “Humanising Smart Cities” was YBM Senator Dato’ Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah, Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government.

The distinguished group of industry speakers shared an in-depth understanding in digitisation, analytics, artificial intelligence and automation innovations that can help create a guided path for business leaders to embrace the digital revolution. This is hoped to benefit businesses that are already making headway with their digital business innovation to stay ahead and competitive in the business landscape that is being reformed by rapid technological advances.

Besides the talks and discussion sessions, LEAP Summit 2018 also featured TM’s fully converged services and solutions exhibiting capabilities of enabling data-driven transformation. TM ONE launched its state-of-the-art IPDC located in Nusajaya Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor in November 2017. The Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) which is currently under construction is set to complete TM ONE’s ‘Twin Core’ and hybrid cloud strategy to enable businesses to realise the full potential of their digital opportunities. The KVDC will be ready for service by end of December 2018.

OUM and TM One sign Memorandum of Understanding to establish hyperconnected digital ecosystem

TM One Hyperconnected Ecosystem provides end-to-end digital solutions that enable Education 4.0 for Malaysian higher learning institutions ​TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Open University Malaysia (OUM) to establish a digital transformation journey for the university’s campus in Kuala Lumpur. Speaking at the event, Ahmad Taufek said, “This MoU marks the beginning of a synergy between TM One and OUM for more future collaborations. The potential areas may encompass beyond the four clusters to help create greater value for OUM to remain competitive in the education industry. The solutions will enable OUM to optimise its operational costs and improve its energy efficiency. We hope these smart solutions will also encourage more engagement and interactions between the OUM campus community, whilst providing enhanced students’ and visitors’ experience at OUM. Our Hyperconnected Ecosystem offers advanced digital solutions for educational institutions in Malaysia to embark on their digital transformation. As an enabler of Malaysia’s Digital Nation aspirations, TM through TM One, will continue to play an active role in nation building, particularly in the education sector.” Meanwhile, Prof Dato’ Dr Mansor said, “This collaboration will provide many advantages, especially for learners and staff in our 33 Learning Centres nationwide. TM ONE AND AGROBANK FORGE FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC COLLABORATION TO ACCELERATE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR

KOTA KINABALU, 8 AUGUST 2025 – TM One, TM’s enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, has formalised a five-year strategic collaboration with Agrobank to accelerate the digital transformation of Malaysia’s agriculture and agro-based MSME sectors. TM One becomes the first telco to be certified with international ISO 18295-1:2017 by SIRIM for its contact centre services

Reinforces its leading role in business process outsourcing industry in Malaysia TM One, the business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) was recently awarded the international standard ISO 18295-1:2017 certification, making it the first Telco in Malaysia being awarded with the certification in Malaysia. The certification award was introduced by International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in 2017, specifically on service requirements for customer contact centres (CCC). In Malaysia, the certification was conducted by the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) QAS International Sdn Bhd. Nizam Arshad, Vice President, Business Technology, TM One accepted the certificate from YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the presence of Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of SIRIM. Commenting on the certification, Ir. Ts. Azizi A. Hadi, Executive Vice President, TM One said: “The ISO 18295-1:2017 certification marks another milestone for TM One. It is a testament of our expertise as well as dedication to constantly evolve and improve our processes and services to meet the highest international standards. This directly contributes to the increased efficiency of our contact centre operations thus providing greater confidence level to our clients. We will continue to strive for excellence in our contact center operations and reinforce our leading role in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in Malaysia.” The ISO 18295-1:2017 qualification is applicable to both in-house and outsourced (third party operator) CCCs of all sizes, across all sectors and all interaction channels, including inbound and outbound. It specifies the performance metrics (in the form of Key Performance Indicators – KPIs) as and where required. To ensure preservation and compliance to the certification, TM One will continuously conduct its own internal audits on quarterly basis as well as a yearly external audit exercise. “For our customers, the certification means that they can be assured of the service level satisfaction and improved customer experience. With such assurance, our customers will be able to continue delivering enhanced services and proactively meet or even exceed their end users’ needs,” he added.
