Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its business solutions arm, TM ONE, recently inked a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Huawei. This MoC is in pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TM and Huawei in March 2018 which outlined the various initiatives between the Parties to promote innovation, develop go-to-market strategies, enhance skills and capabilities as well as to improve each other's products and services. As both TM ONE and Huawei intend to play a more proactive developmental role in providing ready infrastructure and ecosystem to support the nation's growth, specifically to further address digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia, this collaboration would allow both companies to further accelerate the upcoming digital transformation era amongst Malaysians by leveraging on the combined strengths and capabilities of each other.
The MoC was signed by both companies during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dato' Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM said, "We are excited to be working hand in hand with a leading global name such as Huawei in a strategic partnership programme aimed at addressing the digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sector in Malaysia. Under the MoC, both parties agreed to jointly promote cooperation through a possible joint account planning and mapping exercise of available opportunities, future joint solutioning as well as joint creation of customer value proposition. The focus will be on enterprise segments such as Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Public Sector, Education, Manufacturing, Commercial and/or Real Estate in the areas of, amongst other, Cloud, Network, Storage, High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoTs) and Software Defined Network.

TM set to empower educational institution in Penang with dedicated premium network connectivity and smart school system solution
Smart collaboration with Wesley Methodist School Penang International elevates the institution to become the 1st school in Malaysia with an integrated digital lifestyle Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via its business solutions arm, TM ONE recently signed a Collaboration Agreement with Wesley Methodist School Penang (International) (WMSP(I)) for the deployment and provisioning of TM’s dedicated premium network connectivity namely DOME service. Under the collaboration, TM will also be provisioning TM’s smart school system solution to the school and the total solution includes the School Management System (SMS), Learning Management System (LMS) and School Attendance System (SAS). TM One becomes the first telco to be certified with international ISO 18295-1:2017 by SIRIM for its contact centre services
Reinforces its leading role in business process outsourcing industry in Malaysia TM One, the business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) was recently awarded the international standard ISO 18295-1:2017 certification, making it the first Telco in Malaysia being awarded with the certification in Malaysia. The certification award was introduced by International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in 2017, specifically on service requirements for customer contact centres (CCC). In Malaysia, the certification was conducted by the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) QAS International Sdn Bhd. Nizam Arshad, Vice President, Business Technology, TM One accepted the certificate from YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the presence of Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of SIRIM. Commenting on the certification, Ir. Ts. Azizi A. Hadi, Executive Vice President, TM One said: “The ISO 18295-1:2017 certification marks another milestone for TM One. It is a testament of our expertise as well as dedication to constantly evolve and improve our processes and services to meet the highest international standards.
