TM collaborates with Huawei to accelerate digital transformation of enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its business solutions arm, TM ONE, recently inked a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Huawei. This MoC is in pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TM and Huawei in March 2018 which outlined the various initiatives between the Parties to promote innovation, develop go-to-market strategies, enhance skills and capabilities as well as to improve each other's products and services. As both TM ONE and Huawei intend to play a more proactive developmental role in providing ready infrastructure and ecosystem to support the nation's growth, specifically to further address digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia, this collaboration would allow both companies to further accelerate the upcoming digital transformation era amongst Malaysians by leveraging on the combined strengths and capabilities of each other.
The MoC was signed by both companies during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dato' Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM said, "We are excited to be working hand in hand with a leading global name such as Huawei in a strategic partnership programme aimed at addressing the digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sector in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Tian Feng, the member of Huawei Supervisory Board/Senior Vice President said: "Today collaboration between TM ONE and Huawei is further deepened on the basis of last year strategy partnership MoU, and it will help both companies to advance into the future. This collaboration is based on long-term mutual trust between the two organisations and more importantly, complement technology capabilities and strategy for both parties in the enterprise business market. Huawei is confident that it can leverage its advanced technologies such as cloud computing, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoTs), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to complement TM ONE's venture into the market.
Under the MoC, both parties agreed to jointly promote cooperation through a possible joint account planning and mapping exercise of available opportunities, future joint solutioning as well as joint creation of customer value proposition. The focus will be on enterprise segments such as Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Public Sector, Education, Manufacturing, Commercial and/or Real Estate in the areas of, amongst other, Cloud, Network, Storage, High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoTs) and Software Defined Network.

We also have a long and proven track record in nation-building, coupled with the right expertise and experience to catapult Malaysia into a Digital Nation. TM collaborates with Bintang Urusjuta for the first digital home in Melaka
Taman Anjung Gapam becomes the first digital home in Melaka with move-in ready unifi and digital home services Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE and a local property developer, Bintang Urusjuta (M) Sdn Bhd today launched their first Digital Home project in Melaka at Taman Anjung Gapam. The development is the first housing project in Melaka that is ready with various digital home solutions. At the same event, TM ONE and Bintang Urusjuta also signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the appointment of TM ONE as the strategic partner for the deployment of digital home solutions at Taman Anjung Gapam. With the deployment, Taman Anjung Gapam Melaka now has been recognised as the first housing project in Melaka to enjoy the digital home through high-speed broadband connectivity. The agreement was signed by Ahmad Taufek Omar, Chief Executive Officer, TM ONE while Bintang Urusjuta (M) Sdn Bhd was represented by Yeow Ho Lock, its Managing Director. The ceremony was witnessed by YAB Adly Zahari, Chief Minister of Melaka. Under the MoA, residents of Anjung Gapam will enjoy broadband connectivity at the speed of 30Mbps and above by early November 2019. This offering includes the new 'Pay Nothing' campaign, where all new unifi subscribers will enjoy three (3) months free subscription starting 1 October until 31 December 2019. In Melaka, unifi is currently available in Bandar Melaka, Ayer Keroh, Ayer Molek, Bemban, Bertam, Klebang, Kuala Sg. Baru, Malim, Masjid Tanah, Merlimau, Simpang Ampat, Tangga Batu and Umbai. TM One and UMW sign Memorandum of Intent to embark on co-development of digital solutions for industries in Malaysia
TM One, the business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and UMW Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (UMW) today signed a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) on a strategic partnership to develop digital solutions aimed at enhancing and empowering Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) requirements for industries in Malaysia, making it more productive, agile and future-ready. The MoI was signed by Badrul Feisal bin Abdul Rahim, President & Group Chief Executive Officer, UMW Holdings Berhad on behalf of UMW Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and Dato' Noor Kamarul Anuar bin Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM representing TM One. Also present to witness the ceremony was Tan Sri Dato' Sri Hamad Kama Piah bin Che Othman, Group Chairman, UMW Holdings Berhad and Rosli bin Man, Chairman, TM. These solutions will be made accessible via the platform's dashboard for UMW's IoT-enabled equipment and machineries such as generators, compressors, pumps, turbines and others which will benefit multiple industries such as Energy and Utilities, Transportation, Real Estate, Commercial and Public Sectors amongst others. The eventual combined UMW-TM IoT solution will provide remote access to machines through real-time monitoring and management system as well as optimise asset management including fleet management, energy management, utilisation and disaster management. Through this collaboration, both parties will leverage on each other's strengths to create greater value and support the growth of Malaysia's technological capabilities.
