MINISTER OF FINANCE II REVIEWS IMPLEMENTATION OF TM’S MADANI ADOPTED SCHOOL PROGRAMME AT SMKA (P) ALMASHOOR
PENANG, 14 September 2026 – YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II, today visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (Perempuan) AlMashoor (SMKA (P) AlMashoor), one of Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s (TM) adopted schools under the Malaysia MADANI Adopted School initiative, implemented through Yayasan TM (YTM).
TM Future Skills (TMFS) is a holistic student development programme encompassing STEM education, digital and soft skills, co-curricular activities, sports, as well as character and talent development.
The programme is implemented across 35 schools nationwide, involving more than 23,600 students and nearly 2,100 educators, with the potential to benefit up to 60,000 students, including through nearby satellite schools.
TM Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, said talent development is an important part of TM’s aspiration to become a Digital Powerhouse.
“As we move towards our Digital Powerhouse ambition, talent development must progress alongside the development of technology and digital infrastructure. Through TM Future Skills, we want to help develop a generation that is not only digitally literate, but also has the confidence and skills to create, build and solve problems using technology.
“This exposure needs to start at school. By continuously building the capabilities of both students and teachers, we hope to open up more opportunities for young people to explore STEM and technology, and in turn contribute to the development of Malaysia’s future digital talent,” he said.
At SMKA (P) AlMashoor, 100 students have undergone STEM and digital skills training, while five teachers have also received training. The school is equipped with a TMFS Digital Hub featuring 10 high-performance laptops, STEM kits, drones and a 3D printer to support learning in areas such as coding, robotics, 3D design and project-based learning.
During the visit, YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah received a briefing on the implementation of TMFS, visited the TMFS Digital Hub and observed student demonstrations showing how STEM learning can be applied to solve real-world problems. He also interacted with students and teachers about their experience with the programme.
Principal of SMKA (P) AlMashoor, Ustazah Rosmiza Ahmad, said TM Future Skills has helped strengthen student development through more practical and experiential learning.
“We are seeing students become more confident in trying new things, more active in their learning and more interested in science and technology. Exposure like this also helps build critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration among our students,” she said.

TM Launches First AI Music Platform, Celebrating Malaysian Languages and Local Dialects

Enabling greater digital inclusivity for Malaysians through Pakej Perpaduan Jalur Lebar Tetap
Following Minister of Communications and Digital, YB Fahmi Fadzil’s announcement on the Pakej Perpaduan Jalur Lebar Tetap (Fixed Internet Broadband) yesterday, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is committed to support the Government’s aim to bring hyperconnectivity to key target communities. Focusing on segments most in need particularly B40, the elderly, OKU, army-police veterans, the delivery of Pakej Perpaduan Jalur Lebar Tetap aligns with TM’s aspiration to empower a Digital Malaysia and meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly to promote inclusive and sustainable digital industrialization and innovation (Goal 9), as well as to reduce inequalities and empower social and economic inclusion for all (Goal 10).
