TM Wins Big at PC.Com Awards 2023
TM continued to solidify its position as Malaysia’s most trusted converged telco and technology company, when it was recognised with four (4) main awards at PC.com Awards 2023 held recently, including CEO of the Year award, won by its Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Imri Mokhtar, making the night a special and memorable one for the Company.
The other three (3) awards included “Best Fixed Broadband Service Provider” by Unifi, Unifi Business secured “Best Business Fixed Broadband Service Provider” and “Best Enterprise Telco” went to TM One.
Present to receive the awards on behalf of TM were Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One; Anand Vijayan, Executive Vice President, Unifi; and Ts. Mohamad Yusman Ammeran, Head of SME, Unifi Business, along with the CEO of the Year award winner Datuk Imri Mokhtar.
When accepting the CEO of the Year award, Datuk Imri said: “I am receiving this award on behalf of our 19,000 strong Warga TM nationwide. This award truly belongs to all Warga TM. Your camaraderie and your commitment is an inspiration to me and to everyone.
“I would like to extend our utmost appreciation to all our customers - our home, SME and enterprise customers - for your trust in TM to serve your needs. A special appreciation also goes to our delivery ecosystem, including our partners. Without all of you, we couldn't have achieved what we have achieved, and we couldn’t overcome the obstacles that we had overcome. So once again, thank you very much to everyone.” He further thanked PC.com for the accolade and acknowledgement.

TM collaborates with Malaysia telecommunications tower providers for access to tower sites facilities
The strategic collaboration affirms TM’s commitment and readiness to drive Malaysia’s Digital Economy aspirations as the national digital infrastructure accelerator Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) marked another milestone as the national connectivity and digital infrastructure provider when its wholesale domestic and international business arm, TM WHOLESALE, entered into a collaboration with nine (9) tower providers (TowerCos), enabling access to tower sites facilities. The nine (9) TowerCos are the members of Persatuan Penyedia Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi (PPIT), namely D'Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn Bhd, Melaka ICT Holdings Sdn Bhd, Perlis Comm Sdn Bhd, Infra Quest Sdn Bhd, Perak Integrated Network Services Sdn Bhd, EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd, PDC Telecommunication Services Sdn Bhd, Desabina Industries Sdn Bhd and Yiked Bina Sdn Bhd. The ceremony was held recently in Johor Bahru attended by TM and nine (9) other TowerCos. TM was represented by Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Executive Vice President, TM WHOLESALE, while the TowerCos were represented by: Dato' Haji Mohd Rehat Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer, D'Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn Bhd, who is also the President of PPIT Dato' Mohd Fauzi Yaakub, Deputy Chairman, Melaka ICT Holdings Sdn Bhd Dato' Ramli Abd Rahman, Managing Director, Perlis Comm Sdn Bhd Ab Aziz Yunus, Executive Chairman, Infra Quest Sdn Bhd Iwan Che Wan Che Ismail, Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director, Perak Integrated Network Services Sdn Bhd Muniff Kamaruddin, Chief Executive Officer, EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd Hasmunir Hamid, Acting Chief Executive Officer, PDC Telecommunication Services Sdn Bhd Shikh Badrudden Shikh Ismail, General Manager, Desabina Industries Sdn Bhd Azhan Abdul Hamid, General Manager, Yiked Bina Sdn Bhd Under the collaboration, the nine (9) TowerCos will provide TM with access to their tower sites, including land and rooftop facilities. This will enable TM to connect the towers with its high-speed fibre optic network to support high quality network performance and capability. Commenting on the collaboration, Amar Huzaimi said, "TM through TM WHOLESALE, is committed to ensuring our national telecommunication industry is provided with cutting edge connectivity and extensive fibre infrastructure solutions as a catalyst to accelerate the delivery of a high quality digital experience to all Malaysians, true to our role as national digital infrastructure accelerator. This will allow service providers to serve their customers with faster connectivity speed and greater bandwidth capacity for the current 4G and future 5G services nationwide. This partnership further demonstrates our commitment as the enabler of Digital Malaysia in supporting the country's digital aspirations, which include the Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL)." Meanwhile, Dato' Hj Mohd Rehat said, "TM has been a long-standing partner of PPIT for over a decade, and together, we have developed a high level of trust among each other. After a few series of fruitful discussions, PPIT and TM have once again agreed to ink a new collaboration to continue to work hand-in-hand in respect of the access to tower sites facilities."
Disney+ Hotstar and other top-notch international and local content will rock Malaysian screens via unifi TV’s comprehensive content offering!
5 new exciting channels will be available on unifi TV starting 1 May 2022, while 4 new streaming apps will be added mid-May, including Disney+ Hotstar unifi TV customers can expect more exciting international and local content next month, including Disney+ Hotstar. Disney+ Hotstar is the dedicated streaming home for global, regional and Malaysian stories. Disney+ Hotstar offers programming with a variety of original feature-length films, live-action and animated series, short-form content and documentaries. This includes titles such as Marvel Studios' latest series and films like Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Eternals and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. Also available are Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett; the Academy Award®-winning film Encanto, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Film; and Pixar's Turning Red which is the number one film premiere on Disney+ globally to date (based on number of hours watched in the first three days). For karaoke lovers, MySing will definitely make this upcoming Raya celebrations much more memorable. It is the first and only karaoke OTT app fully operated locally in Malaysia, with more than 30,000 original karaoke content in a user-friendly interface. The most recent and latest hits can be enjoyed in HD-quality. MySing is available exclusively on unifi Plus Box and can be subscribed via unifi starting 1 May 2022 with a 30-day trial for a limited time only. The app is available a la carte at RM14.90 per month. MySing is hosted on TM One's intelligent Cloud – α Edge, an end-to-end comprehensive suite of cloud services with full stack hyperscaler capabilities. TM Statement on Cable Theft Incident in Johor Bahru
KUALA LUMPUR, 28 January 2025 – Following the recent cable theft incident in Johor Bahru involving the group known as “Geng Boy” who were apprehended by the police, TM is fully cooperating with the authorities to facilitate their investigation. As the matter is still ongoing, we are unable to provide additional comments at this time. Cable theft is a serious offense that endangers lives, disrupts essential services that Malaysians rely on daily, and impacts the community. Protecting our national infrastructure is vital, and we urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately by calling 999 or visiting the nearest police station. TM is committed to ensuring the security and reliability of our nation’s digital infrastructure, and we will continue to collaborate closely with the authorities to prevent such incidents in the future. We thank the Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) for their swift and effective action, as well as members of the public for their vigilance and support in addressing these crimes.
