Disney+ Hotstar and other top-notch international and local content will rock Malaysian screens via unifi TV’s comprehensive content offering!

5 new exciting channels will be available on unifi TV starting 1 May 2022, while 4 new streaming apps will be added mid-May, including Disney+ Hotstar unifi TV customers can expect more exciting international and local content next month, including Disney+ Hotstar. Disney+ Hotstar is the dedicated streaming home for global, regional and Malaysian stories. It brings together blockbuster Hollywood films and award-winning content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, FX, 20th Century Studios and many more, providing a wide array of titles from select Malaysian studios and a unique and growing portfolio of local language content from Asia Pacific. Disney+ Hotstar offers programming with a variety of original feature-length films, live-action and animated series, short-form content and documentaries. This includes titles such as Marvel Studios' latest series and films like Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Eternals and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. Also available are Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett; the Academy Award®-winning film Encanto, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Film; and Pixar's Turning Red which is the number one film premiere on Disney+ globally to date (based on number of hours watched in the first three days). Disney+ Hotstar also features an extensive library of highly acclaimed local language content from Asia Pacific, such as popular Korean dramas Snowdrop, Rookie Cops and Soundtrack #1, as well as Malaysian series Ejen Ali, Upin & Ipin, Kisah Cinta Kita and more. On 1 May 2022, unifi will add five (5) new channels and one (1) new streaming app onto its unifi TV platform, with another three (3) streaming apps joining unifi's content stable on 17 May 2022. The 5 new High Definition (HD) channels are beIN SPORTS 1, beIN SPORTS 3, CCTV-4, CGTN as well as unifi's very own new channel, DEGUP while the 4 new streaming apps including the aforementioned Disney+ Hotstar, are MySing, beIN SPORTS CONNECT and SPOTV NOW. With the addition of the new channels and apps, unifi TV will have a total of 74 premium channels and 15 streaming apps on its platform, enjoyable on unifi TV's media boxes or unifi PlayTV app when on-the-go. All new unifi Home broadband subscribers with unifi TV Ultimate Pack can watch Disney+ Hotstar at no additional charge, as long as their pack is active, while new subscriptions to unifi Home 100Mbps without Ultimate Pack will enjoy a 6-month access to the streaming app. Disney+ Hotstar will also be made available as an add-on at RM16.00 per month to unifi TV Varnam Plus, Aneka Plus and Ruby Plus Pack customers. unifi Home customers without any unifi TV Pack will have the option to subscribe to the streaming app a la carte at the price of RM54.90 for 3 months, with the convenience to pay through a single unifi bill. For karaoke lovers, MySing will definitely make this upcoming Raya celebrations much more memorable. It is the first and only karaoke OTT app fully operated locally in Malaysia, with more than 30,000 original karaoke content in a user-friendly interface. The most recent and latest hits can be enjoyed in HD-quality. MySing is available exclusively on unifi Plus Box and can be subscribed via unifi starting 1 May 2022 with a 30-day trial for a limited time only. The app is available a la carte at RM14.90 per month. MySing is hosted on TM One's intelligent Cloud – α Edge, an end-to-end comprehensive suite of cloud services with full stack hyperscaler capabilities. SPOTV NOW provides access to live sports streaming services, video-on-demand options and curated exclusive content of premier Asian and international events, including MotoGP (this comes with Bahasa Melayu commentary), The Open Championship, US Open and Wimbledon, World Table Tennis, as well as Asian events such as Korean Baseball League (KBO) and V.League Japan competition. SPOTV NOW is available complimentary to all Ultimate Pack customers from 17 May 2022 onwards. TM Joins Asia Link Cable System Consortium To Boost Submarine Cable Capacity From Malaysia To Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 September 2023 - TM Global, the domestic and international wholesale business arm of TM, solidified its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s digital landscape by announcing its recent participation as a consortium member of the Asia Link Cable System (ALC).  This strategic move positions Malaysia as one of the key destinations connecting Malaysia to Hong Kong SAR.   Asia Link Cable; image credited to HMN Tech   TM’s entry into the consortium was made official during the signing of the Construction and Maintenance Agreement (C&MA) with all consortium members held in Penang recently. The current seven members from the ASEAN and North Asia regions include Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel); China Telecom Global Limited (CTG); China Telecommunications Corporation (CTC); Globe Telecom (Globe) and DITO Telecommunity Corporation (DITO) of the Philippines, Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) of Brunei and Global Transit Singapore Pte. Ltd (GTS). Commenting on this partnership, Khairul Liza Ibrahim, TM Global’s covering Executive Vice President said, “Our inclusion in the ALC consortium marks another milestone in TM Global’s ongoing efforts to position Malaysia as a digital hub in the region. “Malaysia emerged as the region’s top destination for technological investment, particularly data centre businesses. Leveraging our strategic location, the ALC is expected to attract more international submarine cables to land in Malaysia and entice global technology players to leverage our data centres. “This strengthens our efforts to provide reliable, diversified and uninterrupted global connectivity solutions to customers. It also enables us to better support the deployment of hyperscalers’ data centres, and deliver to the future requirements of 5G networks in the country,” she added Spanning a total distance of approximately 7,200 km with an initial design capacity of 24Tbps, the Cable Landing Station (CLS) for ALC will be strategically located at TM Exchange Kuala Sedili, and will capitalise on its proximity to TM’s Iskandar Puteri data centre in Johor. The Sedili CLS is the sixth international CLS in the country, including Kuala Muda, Morib, Mersing, Cherating and Melaka. Its construction is projected to be completed by 2025. The ALC will significantly boost the data-transfer capacity of TM’s existing submarine cable systems, catering to the increasing bandwidth demands across the ASEAN and North Asia regions. Furthermore, the ALC adopts an open cable system design that is adaptable and compatible with various technologies and upgrades. This better positions TM and other consortium members to address the growing bandwidth demand for higher data capacity. With 32 owned and leased submarine cable systems spanning more than 340,000 kilometres around the globe, TM is committed to providing the highest service performance and best quality experience to customers domestically and internationally.

TM Reports Steady 7.9% Growth in EBIT for First Nine Months of 2024, Maintains Positive Year-End Outlook

3Q YTD 2024 Key Highlights (vs 3Q YTD 2023) Operating revenue stood at RM8.66 billion EBIT increased 7.9% to RM1.81 billion Fixed broadband subscribers grew 1.6% to 3.167 million KUALA LUMPUR, 26 November 2024 – Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM” or “the Group”) announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2024, reporting a steady 7.9% increase in Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) year-to-date (3Q YTD 2024), reaching RM1.81 billion on the back of RM8.66 billion in revenue. This result underscores the Group’s ability to sustain stable revenue and maintain resilience amidst intensifying competitive pressures and a challenging operating environment, positioning the company for a strong close to the year. The Group recorded a Profit after Tax and Non-Controlling Interests (PATAMI) of RM1.29 billion, which is lower than the previous year due to a one-off tax credit received in 2023. Excluding the one-off tax credit and foreign exchange impact, the Group’s PATAMI shows solid growth year-on-year. Meanwhile, Capital expenditure (CAPEX) in 3Q YTD 2024 amounted to RM767 million, representing 8.9% of total revenue. Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, TM Group Chief Executive Officer said, “The Group continues to demonstrate resilience, with an encouraging YTD increase in EBIT, driven by continuous business improvements, cost optimisation, and operational efficiencies. This is further reinforced by our strong balance sheet and cash reserves, highlighting the Group’s healthy financial position. “Our broadband subscriber base continues to grow steadily, driven by the Unifi UniVerse campaign - our best convergence offerings to date, further solidifying our position as the leading convergence provider with the only quad-play services in Malaysia. We also continue expanding collaborations with enterprises and government agencies to accelerate digital adoption in key verticals such as 5G, Smart Services, Healthcare, and Education. At the same time, we remain steadfast in preparing robust infrastructure to connect the world to Malaysia, including submarine cables and data centres to drive the nation’s digital transformation and strengthen its role as the digital hub for ASEAN. “As we enter the final quarter of 2024, we are adopting a more proactive approach to boost revenue through fixed-mobile convergence and leveraging new technologies like 5G, cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance customer experiences. Lines of Businesses (LOBs) Performance Unifi Strengthens Position as the Market Leader in Converged Services Unifi recorded a 1.6% increase YTD in fixed broadband subscribers, reaching 3.167 million in 3Q YTD 2024. This growth demonstrates Unifi’s effective strategy in acquiring and retaining customers driven by its UniVerse campaign, including the Unifi Device Fiesta offering. The mobile segment has also expanded, fuelled by enhanced postpaid and prepaid offerings; the 200GB 5G Monthly Data Pass for just RM1 for UNI5G Postpaid 39 customers, and the UNI5G WOW Prepaid plan with 5G and 4G data. Moreover, Unifi TV’s Aneka Plus Pack was also relaunched to include Vidio, Indonesia’s leading streaming platform, providing customers with even more entertainment options. Additionally, Unifi Business recently announced a strategic partnership with TNG Digital to accelerate 5G adoption and transform eWallet experiences for MSMEs in Malaysia. During the quarter, TM One drove the successful Private 5G network deployment at PETRONAS LNG Complex Bintulu and subsequently delivered the first 5G Private Campus Network in Malaysia at the Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) for the PETRONAS-UTP 5G Innovation Lab. Additionally, it partnered with KPJ Healthcare Bhd to deliver advanced Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) Internet Services integrated with enhanced firewall capabilities to accelerate KPJ’s digital transformation. TM One also launched the first AI-enabled Global Business Services (GBS) Centre in the East Coast to foster investment growth in the East Coast Economic Corridor. It further strengthens its commitment to empowering the local talent ecosystem and promoting digital inclusivity through a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education to enhance Malaysia’s digital competencies via TVET programmes. These initiatives reflect TM One’s commitment to driving Malaysia’s digital transformation, empowering businesses, communities, and the government.   TM Global Strengthens Malaysia’s Position as a Digital Hub for the Region TM Global, the Group’s wholesale business arm recorded a positive quarterly growth, with a 4.7% increase in revenue in Q3 2024 to RM787.0 million, driven by the increased demand for international data as well as the expansion of high-speed broadband and 5G infrastructure. It has deployed fibre optic network hubs in Sarawak, helping to bridge the digital divide and promote greater digital inclusion. Recently, TM Global announced the data centre expansion of its Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) in Cyberjaya and the Iskandar Puteri Data Centre (IPDC) in Johor to deliver a combined IT load of about 20MW to cater to rising domestic and international data hosting needs. Furthermore, it upgraded its northern edge capabilities to bring content closer to users.
