Asri, 48, holds a Master of Corruption Studies from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a Bachelor of Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

He was appointed as TM’s Chief Integrity and Governance Officer on 2 October 2023 to spearhead TM’s strategy in combatting corruption through prevention, education and awareness as well as enforcement in strengthening an ethical culture in the Company.

Asri comes with an impressive track record where he has served in several pivotal roles in Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). He started his career in MACC Sabah in 2000. He was then assigned to MACC Terengganu in 2006 and subsequently promoted to Deputy Director in 2009.After completing his Master of Corruption Studies in 2017, Asri was appointed as Deputy Director of Performance Management Integrity Division in MACC.

In December 2020, Asri was appointed as Chief of Integrity Unit at Ministry of Education (MOE) where he chaired various integrity committees such as Whistle-blower Protection Policy Formation Committee, Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) Certification MS ISO 37001:2016 Committee and Disciplinary Action Management Guidebook Publishing Committee. He was also instrumental  in implementing a comprehensive anti-corruption awareness throughout the organisation.

His tenure in MOE has further sharpened his expertise in the field of anti-corruption education, awareness and enforcement implementation. Asri also has been certified as Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) from the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Academy (MACA) which reflects his dedication towards upholding integrity culture at its core.
