The Kufi Art Generator
Malaysia is a country that is blessed with many intangible heritages, such as the words of wisdom that are passed down through countless generations. TM is on a mission to archive and preserve these words of wisdom because they are as unique and varied as the Malaysians who utter them.
We then asked ourselves: what if we could immortalise these words in a new, digital way? We adapted a form of Islamic calligraphy art, known as Kufi art to achieve this. Usually found in Muslim houses all over Malaysia that features Quranic verses, what if we can turn Malaysians’ words of wisdom into works of art worth sharing?
With this cultural insight, we developed a Kufi Art Generator that converts these words of wisdom into beautiful Kufi art that can be customised by the users, preserving Malaysian words of wisdom for the next generation.
